Olkhovka (tributary of Lugani)

The valley is trapezoidal, asymmetric, 4-6 km wide. The floodplain is up to 10 m wide. The channel is moderately winding, 4-5 m wide, 1-2 m deep.

It is used for water supply, irrigation, recreation. There are recreation centers on the banks. Reservoirs ( Elizabethan , Lugansk ) and ponds were built. The river is heavily polluted [4] . A pike is found in the river [5] .

The largest tributaries: Sukhaya Olkhovaya , Sukhaya - right.

The name comes from the word " alder " ( Ukrainian. Vilha ).

Geography

It originates from a source near the village of Ivanovka , on the northern slope of the Donetsk Ridge . It flows along the territory of the Donetsk Upland , along the territory of the Anthracite and Lutuginsky regions of the Lugansk region. It flows into the Lugan River, near the College of Transport Construction and tram rings of routes 4, 11, 13, of the city ​​of Lugansk .
