Integration with other applications
Among others, Opera [2] (prior to version 9.64, later Hunspell ), Pidgin , AbiWord , Coccinella , LyX , Lynx , Psi and gedit use Aspell as a spell checker.
Comparison with Ispell
Aspell can also check documents in UTF-8 without using a special dictionary. Aspell also respects the current locale of settings. Unlike Ispell, the ability to use several language dictionaries at the same time and use the user dictionary is included.
