Story
Little girl Nim lives with her father-oceanologist on a deserted tropical island, rides a yacht, fishes and helps her father with scientific experiments. In parallel, she communicates by e-mail with a writer living in San Francisco , who suffers from a large number of different phobias , the author of her favorite novels. At some point, the father disappears, and then the girl searches for him with the help of her friends - the sea lion Selka, the bearded agama Fred, the tortoise Chika and the writer, and also protects the island from tourist pirates .
Geographical position
The island of Nimes is a fictional geographic feature. According to the coordinates that are reported several times in the film, - - it should be located in the water area of the southern group of Cook Islands , about 267 kilometers north-west of the largest of them - Rarotonga Island.
