Tomita, Isao

Isao Tomita ( Japanese 冨 田 勲 Tomita Isao , April 22, 1932 , Tokyo - May 5, 2016 , ibid.) - Japanese composer, one of the founders of the animation studio Group TAC . [5] The author of the music for the films directed by Yoji Yamada 's The Twilight Samurai , Hidden Blade , Love and Honor .

He graduated from the Department of Art History at Keio University ( 1955 ), after which he devoted himself completely to music. Tomita's first significant professional achievement was the creation of music for a delegation of Japanese gymnasts at the 1956 Olympics .

Known for his experimental electronic albums of the 1970s and early 1980s.
