Mystic is a reincarnating mutant , in its natural form it has yellow eyes and blue skin. She is over a hundred years old. In the series dedicated to her (issue No. 17), she says: “As for this, I was not born yesterday, and not even in this century ...” ( eng. I wasn't born last night, or even last century, for that matter ... ). Mystic is the biological mother of the Night Serpent and foster mother Rogue . She was forced to leave the Night Serpent, but for several years she took care of Rogue (both women had mixed feelings for each other).
In most of the stories with her participation, Mystic acts as an antihero who heads the Brotherhood of Mutants and killed several important people involved in the affairs of mutants. However, in the recent past, she worked under Professor X and temporarily joined the X-Men.
Mystic is one of several bisexual characters present on the pages of popular comics . She had a long relationship with her fellow "Brotherhood" Fate ( eng. Destiny ). Because of the restrictions on mentions of sexual relationships, as mentioned in the Comic Booker Code , Marvel editors have not confirmed this for a long time.

Strengths and abilities
Mystic - mutant-shifter. She is able to take on the appearance of any humanoid creature, about the same as her weight and height. Abilities allow the mutant to copy not only the appearance, but also such individual features as voice, gait, and even fingerprints and retina design. Mystic can copy not only biological components, but also clothing, as well as accessories such as glasses and jewelry.
The Mystic mutation also includes increased regenerative abilities and, as a result, delayed aging - despite its more than a century of age, the mutant retains the dexterity and flexibility of a woman who is at the peak of her physical abilities.
The situation changed a little when in the mini-series “ X-Men Forever ” Mystic received a dangerous dose of radiation while saving the mutant Toad , as a result of which the mutation intensified. The natural look of Mystic became similar to the image from the “ X-Men ” movie series - the skin was covered with scaly-like formations. Mystic has a great ability to transform: now she can change her height and weight during transformations. But the main thing is that Mystic is now capable of biological changes - she is able to grow new limbs and other parts of the body. It is also possible to grow non-standard organs - wings, claws, a natural protective shell. Mystic changed the location of his vital organs to reduce the risk of death from injuries.
Mystic is a great scout and saboteur , and this is based not only on mutational ability to mimicry, but also on personal skills. Also, Darkholm is a virtuoso thief, in the thefts it is assisted by natural flexibility and dexterity, which brought trainings to an almost fantastic level. Raven is a masterful hacker capable of hacking into most computer systems. She can open biometric locks by changing her fingerprints or retina patterns .
Due to her 100 years of age, Mystic has accumulated enormous knowledge in espionage, theft, hacking, psychology and martial arts, and has gained incomparable combat experience both in hand-to-hand combat and in the handling of various weapons.

In addition, she was captured by the people of Trask, and on the basis of her ability to mimicry, Guardians were created, able to adapt against the forces of the mutants. This created a bleak future where the mutants were virtually wiped out. The survivors sent Wolverine in 1973 to prevent the death of Trask and the captivity of Mystic. In the end, the characters were able to prevent a bleak future and create a happier one.
In the film " X-Men: Apocalypse " passes 10 years after Mystic rescued politicians from Magneto, the world nicknamed her "Great Heroine", and she becomes the universal idol for the mutants. However, the girl continues to hide out of distrust of people, an example of when she frees two mutants of the Night Serpent and Angel, which people used in gladiatorial battles of mutants for entertainment.
