The car is equipped with a thyristor-pulse control system ( TISU ), which saves up to 30% of electricity compared to a rheostat-contactor control system ( RCSU ). The tram uses carts produced by the Ust-Katav Carriage Works named after S. M. Kirov . In 2001, the production of trams AKSM-1M was discontinued due to the transition to a new model AKSM-60102
