Starochemodanovo is a former village of the Lev-Tolstovsky district of the Lipetsk region , now located on the territory of the Gagarin rural settlement.

According to documents, today as a separate settlement does not exist.
It arose in the XVIII century . In the documents of 1771, the village of Mikhailovsky ( Chemodanovo ) is noted.
It was located on the highway Leo Tolstoy - Gagarino at the source of the Bulavka River (2.5 west of the village of Ozerki ). According to the toponymist V. A. Prokhorov , the name is associated with the name Suitcases [1] .
Nearby in the second half of the XIX century a village appeared, which became known as Novochemodanovo .
Starochemodanovo existed as a village back in the 1980s . To date, in official documents it is not.
