Bulgarian Army Theater

The Bulgarian Army Theater is a theater in the capital of Bulgaria , Sofia , which has existed since 1950 .

The theater has two stages: the main one with a spectator hall with 500 seats and a chamber with 60 seats.

The theater’s repertoire includes plays by Shakespeare , Schiller , Calderon , A.P. Chekhov , Henryk Ibsen , Maxim Gorky , Berthold Brecht , Friedrich Durrenmatt , Tennessee Williams , as well as plays by Bulgarian playwrights .

The theater repeatedly went on tour to Russia , Germany , Mexico , Spain , Belgium , France , Israel , Poland , Switzerland .

Famous theater and film actors ( Vasil Mikhailov , Ivaylo Khristov , Ivan Radoev , Anastasia Ingilizova , Kamen Donev , Stefaniya Koleva ) and the young generation of actors play in the troupe of the theater.
