Dridis ( Latvian. Drīdzis , also Dreidz , lat. Dreidzs ) - the deepest lake in Latvia . It is located in the southern part of Latgale , on the territory of the Kombul and Skaist volosts of the Kraslava region , not far from the border with Belarus . The maximum depth indicated in the Encyclopedia of the Latvian SSR ( 1971 ) is 65.1 m. In recent years, attempts have been made to clarify this figure, but they do not give an unambiguous result. The volume of water is 0.0881 km³. Surface area - 7.5 km².

There are nine islands on the lake with a total area of 18.7 hectares, the largest of which is Bernata (13.9 hectares). The Dridzis system of small rivers is connected to Lake Sivers . The bottom of the lake is covered with a five-meter layer of silt.
There are pike , freshwater herring , roach , bream , perch , rudd , tench , vendace , and large crayfish in the lake.
