Basic Information
The immediate content of a relative concept is the connection of two or more entities. The opposite ( antithesis ) of relativity is absoluteness .
The category “relative (e)” reflects the moments of objective reality and its cognition, in relation to its other moments, therefore, subject images that are dependent on something are not independent.
Absolute and relative
Philosophical categories; absolute - designated by itself, which exists through itself, or existing by itself and without an external reason for its necessity (outside logical connections), absolutely independent and self-sufficient. Absolute - is revealed only in itself, in its designations, distinguishing itself in its own inherent properties, manifesting itself in all respects, and therefore completely autonomous. Relative as mediated, or arising from another, designated by the intervention of concomitant factors, interconnected, or dependent on something, and therefore not autonomous. Any object is an organic compound of the “absolute and relative”, in different proportions and from different angles of view, it appears to be autonomous, then not autonomous. There are no objects that would be completely independent, or independent in all respects from others. There are no objects of property that would not be manifested through others, just as there are no objects absolutely dependent or independent of others. The interconnection of the “absolute and relative” in the process of cognition also reveals dialectical materialism in the doctrine of “ absolute and relative truth .”
