Lahmajun ( Armenian Լահմաջո lahmajo, tour. Lahmacun lahmajun , from Arabic. لحم بعجين lahm bi-ajin - “meat with dough”) - a popular oriental dish. In accordance with national preferences, it is called Armenian, Turkish or Arab pizza [1] . The basis of the dish is a thin crispy bread cake on which minced meat ( lamb , less often beef ), tomatoes and / or tomato sauce , bell pepper , onion , garlic , greens , black pepper , oregano [2] . A properly cooked lahmajun weighs approximately 150-170 grams.

In Soviet Armenia, Lahmajun gained popularity in the 1960s thanks to repatriates from the Syrian city of Aleppo [1] .
