In the mid-1980s, Andrei Butorin began experimenting with prose for the first time. He writes the first, in his opinion, noteworthy work in prose - a short fantastic story “The Time Slit”, in the plot of which the main character tries to find his disappeared wife and realizes that time has stopped and there are no people left in the world except him and her friend, with which the hero accidentally meets [1] . Butorin did not plan to publish his first story in any way. An acquaintance of Butorin, after reading this work, gave Andrei Ruslanovich an order to write a fantastic story on an environmental topic and proposed a concept for the plot.
