The building was built in 1874 by the city head of Kungur, the famous merchant of the First Guild M. I. Gribushin at his own expense. On November 12, 1874, the stone cases of the shops were consecrated. Originally the building was called "Gribushinsky Corps". By architecture it refers to a special type of stores - stone shops built in the eclectic (historicism) style, in which Old Russian and Oriental motifs are woven. The stone building of the shops was erected opposite the Gostiny Dvor. In front of the entrances, metal umbrellas were arranged above the elegant paired columns. Benches yard leased. Traded in tea, sugar, groceries and other goods.
