The museum is located in three buildings: Governor's house, a small guest yard, outbuildings of the mansion of the merchant Dubinin.
The main exposition is in the Governor's House (built in the 18th century). The two-story museum building is located in the very center of Kungur, on the high bank of the Sylva River . In the permanent exhibition of the museum are departments of nature, history and modern history. Art is presented in temporary exhibitions. In the museum you can get acquainted with the geological history of the Kungur region, its past and present.
Art exhibitions are held in the small courtyard. In the outbuildings of the mansion of the merchant Dubinin, the museum funds are stored.
