The organizer of public balls, enjoyed wide popularity. For a long time he was the bandmaster of the Grand Ballroom Orchestra in Paris , for which he wrote dances. He was known by the nickname Strauss - Lanner [13] and Napoleon quadrille ( French Napoleon du quadrille ).
