Bruce Farr (born 1949, Auckland , New Zealand ) is a renowned sailing yacht designer.
The design talent of B. Farrah was already apparent in the mid-1970s, along with the successful results of his first yachts. From the time of the first appearance until 2003, the Farra yachts won the Sydney-Hobart regatta 15 times [1] . In 1990, Farr was awarded the title of officer of the Order of the British Empire . Bruce Farr currently resides in the United States.

Farr Yacht Design
In the late 1970s, Farr, who previously lived in Auckland, decides to repeat his success in the northern hemisphere. In 1981, he and Russell Bowler ( Russell Bowler ) opened his new office in Annapolis ( USA , Maryland ). At present, the design team led by Farr is known as Farr Yacht Design . She designs a large number of classes of yachts ranging in length from 25 to 125 feet. Farr cooperates with many yacht manufacturers, including Cookson Boats , Carroll Marine , Beneteau , Concordia . Classes of yachts such as the Mumm-30 and Farr-40 , developed in Farrah KB, have gained worldwide acceptance.
America's Cup
Since the mid-1980s, yachts designed under the leadership of Farr have repeatedly participated in the struggle for the most prestigious trophy of world sailing - the America's Cup . New Zealand and US syndicates used Farra yachts to participate in the Louis Vuitton Cup (LVC).
The success of the design bureau Farra brought a whole armada of yachts, for which the name New Zealand Challenge stuck in sailing. These yachts were designed by Ron Holland, Farr and Laurie Davidson. One of the yachts of this series, KZ 1 , won the America's Cup in 1988.

Volvo Ocean Race
The yachts designed by Farr have consistently participated in one of the most prestigious circumnavigation of the Volvo Ocean Race since 1981 and won this regatta in 1986, 1990, 1994 and 1998.
