Founded in 1888 as the Utah Agricultural College ( English Agricultural College of Utah ), the name later changed first to Utah Agricultural College ( English Utah State Agricultural College ), and in 1957 the modern name was adopted. The university consists of 870 faculties, in which more than 28,000 students are enrolled (as of autumn 2016).
