Biography

He was born on October 6, 1922 in the village of Nizhnearmetovo (now Ishimbay district of Bashkortostan ) in a working class family. By Tatar nationality.

He graduated from 9 classes in Sterlitamak , then worked as a mechanic at the Sterlitamak distillery.

In 1941 he was drafted into the army by the Sterlitamak city military registration and enlistment office. In 1943 he graduated from the Saratov Tank School . Since October 1943, he fought at the front, was a platoon commander of minesweepers of the 166th separate engineering tank regiment ( 2nd Assault Engineering and Combat Brigade , 70th Army , 1st Belorussian Front ).

On October 12, 1944, near the village of Mikhaluv , 20 kilometers north of Warsaw , three enemy tanks were set on fire during the battle, but his tank also caught fire, after which he led him to the ram of an enemy tank [4] [5] .

He was buried near the village of Veliszew, north of Warsaw [6] . After the war, he was reburied in Warsaw on the avenue of Zvirsky and Wigura.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945 “for exemplary fulfillment of command assignments and shown staunchness, courage and heroism in battles with Nazi invaders”, senior lieutenant Nagumanov Daylyagai Siraevich was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union [4] .

When repelling the enemy’s tanks and infantry counterattacks on October 12, 1944, in the area of ​​the settlement of Michalów (north of Warsaw), Comrade Nagumanov, commanding a platoon of minesweeper tanks, well-aimed fire from a cannon personally destroyed 4 German tanks and up to 30 Nazis.

... German tanks, seeing their numerical superiority, counterattacked Comrade Tank. Nagumanova. The daredevil accepted an unequal battle. Near well-aimed shots, Senior Lieutenant Nagumanov lit 3 enemy "panthers". The fascists did not relent. Soon the Germans managed to light the tank of Comrade. Nagumanova. The crew was injured. Comrade Nagumanov ordered his crew to leave the car. He himself sat down at the control levers and led the burning tank onto the ram of the head “panther”.

As a result of the collision of two cars, a strong explosion occurred, in the place of which there remained a pile of metal. Having fulfilled his duty to the end, having smashed the enemy’s heavy tank with his burning machine, Comrade Kill died. Nagumanov ...

In total, on the combat account of the tank crews of D. S. Nagumanov there were about 10 destroyed and destroyed enemy tanks and assault guns [7] .
