Story
Former prostitute nicknamed “Mama Roma” ( Anna Magnani ) is trying to start a new life. She sells vegetables, in which her sixteen-year-old son Ettore ( Ettore Garofalo ) helps her. However, all the efforts of the woman are in vain when Ettore finds out that his mother was a prostitute. He commits theft and goes to jail, which means that his mother’s hopes for a better life crashed ...
