Roland Koch ( German: Roland Koch , born March 24, 1958 , Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician ( Christian Democratic Union ).

He received a law degree from the University of Frankfurt , worked as a lawyer . Since 1999, the Prime Minister of the State of Hesse , from April 5, 2008 and. about. the prime minister. Also in 1999 he was chairman of the Bundesrat .
Following the results of the early elections to the Landtag in late 2008, Koch again became Prime Minister, forming a coalition with the FDP .
On May 25, 2010, Koch announced his decision to resign as prime minister and leader of the CDU in the province of Hesse. [1] He will leave his post on August 31, 2010. [2] The question of the successor will be finally resolved on June 12, 2010 at a party meeting. They are expected to be Volker Bouffier , currently the Minister of the Interior of the State of Hesse. [3] A possible reason for Roland Koch’s departure from politics is disagreement between him and Chancellor Angela Merkel . [four]
