Gallimard ( Gallimard Publishing House , French Éditions Gallimard ) is the largest independent French publishing house founded by Gaston Gallimard in 1911. Today's director is , the founder’s grandson.

Since 1929, the publishing house has been located in the building purchased by Gallimard in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of the 7th arrondissement of Paris at 5, rue Sébastien Bottin . In June 2011, on the occasion of the centenary of the publishing house, most of the street was renamed City Hall into Gaston Gallimard Street.

The publisher’s catalog contains more than 13,000 published books. In the 1920s and 1930s, many Russian emigrants were published in it, such as Zinaida Gippius , the 1933 Nobel laureate Ivan Bunin , A. Remizov and others.

Since the 1930s, Gallimard has been publishing one of France’s most prestigious book series - The Pleiades Library . The publishing house also publishes the literary and political magazine Les temps modernes [1] and the largest literary magazine Nouvel revue francise [2] .
