The Texas Syndicate , or Syndicato tejano , is an American prison gang mainly distributed in Texas and accepts only Hispanics into its ranks, without allowing white membership. The Texas syndicate, more than La Eme or Nuestra Familia , is associated with Mexican immigrant prisoners, such as the Border Brothers, while La Eme and NF are comprised mainly of Hispanics who grew up in the USA.

Membership
For the year 2000, there were approximately 1,000 prisoners throughout the state and many outside the Syndicate. 826 syndicate members operate throughout Texas, including Coffield Prison 60 miles southwest of Tyler, and Alred Prison. However, the organization’s headquarters is located in California, where their boss resides, and she continues to actively increase the number of its members in federal prisons across all US states. Their presence is recorded in Oakdale (Louisiana) and San Quentin (California). As a street gang, the organization is particularly active in Austin and Corpus Christi (Texas).

Organization Development
The development of the Texas Syndicate was initiated by self-defense against hostile prison gangs. After solving the task of their own self-defense, the newly formed gang switched to drug trafficking, extortion, prostitution, protection, gambling and contract killings. Gang members released should transfer 10% of their profits to prison.
The CU has a paramilitary structure, is headed by the president and vice-president, who are elected by common vote. Each prison group is supervised by a chairman, followed by a vice chairman, captain, lieutenant, sergeant, and numerous soldiers.
Gang Rules
TC members follow the “Constitution” requiring members:
- be a Texan;
- Remain a member of the gang until the end of your life;
- to put the Syndicate above all;
- to realize that the vehicle is always right;
- wear vehicle tattoos;
- never humiliate another gang member;
- respect other gang members;
- Do not take out information about the gang beyond its borders.

Communication and Identification
TC members communicate through: encoded messages; letters encrypted in numbers. Numeric codes change occasionally to prevent law enforcement from intercepting messages.
Vehicle Tattoos:
- the heart is the executor of the murder;
- trident - for the "gangster" gang;
- three points - for a drug dealer;
- five points - for the supplier of weapons;

- "Doll" in relation to members of the Mexican Mafia;
- Charco - Corpus Christi;
- “Chuco” - El Paso;
- “Space City” - Houston.
