Forecast Pro (from the English forecast - forecast) is a software for calculating forecasts, focused on business applications, developed by the American company Business Forecast Systems .

Development has been underway since 1986 . In the form of a computing core (ForecastPro SDK), it is part of some ERP systems, including the advanced planning and optimization module SAP ERP .

Depending on the available functionalities, it is issued in several editions, from the basic, to supporting collaboration in groups. Declares about 25 thousand users of the program ^[1] .

The main feature is the work with indicators organized in multilevel hierarchical reference books ^[2] . Another specific feature is automatic expert selection based on a set of criteria; automatic selection of a predictive model is made from a fairly wide range, including from simple exponential smoothing models and classic trend curves (linear, quadratic, exponential, growth) to Holt exponential smoothing models , seasonal Winters exponential smoothing models, Box and Jenkins additive and multiplicative autoregressive models, Census X11 models and others. At the same time, like most forecasting tools for business use, it is not possible to conduct multivariate modeling, that is, to include many external factors in the model to build multivariate regression.
