Etipur

Yetypur (outdated. Yety-Pur [2] ) - a river in the south of the Purovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District of Russia, the left component of the river. Ayvasedapur , merges with the river. Erkalnadeypur (basin of the Pur river).

Geographic Information

The length of the river is 267 km [3] . The catchment area is 7520 km² [3] . It originates in the Siberian Uvaly from the group of Tagramtortian lakes, the source height is 99 m above sea level [4] , flows from south to north. In the river basin, there are over 300 watercourses and many lakes. Of the 47 most significant watercourses (over 10 km long), only two tributaries of Etipur (Tyrlyakh and Khaduteyyakh) are more than 100 km long. The most significant lakes are Holokuto, Selcanto. The main role in the river’s nutrition is played by melt snow waters. The height of the mouth is 43 m above sea level [5] .

Physical Information

The average annual water flow rate is 75 m³ / s. High water from May to mid-June, early July. It usually freezes in the second half of October, opens in late May - early June. The average thickness of ice at the end of winter is 75–80 cm. Opening of the river in spring is accompanied by a short-term (from 2 to 7 days) ice drift. Rich in fish.
