The etymology of the year name and the history of the street

The previous street name is Tatarskaya [1] . In the XVIII century. this street was a city fringe. It was the Sennaya Square with the remnants of the defensive wall of the Samara fortress. In 1844, the Church of the Holy Trinity was built near the Sennogo Market, and the street was renamed Troitskaya [2] . Subsequently, the market began to be called Troitsky. In 1922, the street was renamed in honor of the revolutionary Alexei Galaktionov who was killed in a plane crash.

Transportation

On the street Galaktionovskoy passed the route of the first Samara tram in 1914. Today, almost all along the street (from Ventsek to Field) there are tram rails. Tram routes: 5, 15, 20, 20k, 22.

Bus routes cross the street, but do not pass along.

  • No. 25 is a residential building, an architectural monument of the beginning of the 20th century. Object of cultural heritage No. 6300188000
  • No. 29 - Trinity Market
  • No. 38 - “ House of Specialists ” [3] : residential building with shops on the ground floor. Built by architect A. Polev in 1934-1936, the style is constructivism. Construction of the house was carried out on a cooperative basis. It was the first one-bedroom house with three and four bedroom apartments. It suffered from a fire in 2003, after which it was restored and reconstructed (with a change in number of floors) [4] . Object of cultural heritage No. 6300189000. [5] In this house, in such years, lived such famous Samarans as actor Georgy Shebuev and his wife actress - Zoya Chekmasova , lived forwards of Wings of the Soviets Boris Kazakov , pilot Vadim Fadeyev and another Hero of the Soviet Union - Benjamin Lezin [6] .

  • No. 57 is a former Zhogolev mansion, a cultural heritage object No. 6300191000 [8] , architect George Moshkov.
  • No. 68 - the building of the former confectionery factory of Stepan Maksimovic Reshetnikov, an object of cultural heritage. Built according to the project of his son, self-taught architect Yakov Stepanovich Reshetnikov in 1912. Since 2005, the building houses the Center for Children's and Youth Creativity "Dream" [9] .
  • Number 69 - the former house of Zemtsov, built in the second half of the XIX century. Object of cultural heritage No. 6310008000 [10] .
  • No. 82 is a typical house for Samara architecture with a bay window and turrets.
  • No. 57 is a house with baroque architecture details, supposedly built by architect D. Moshkov and uncharacteristic of Samara architecture.
  • No. 102 (Vilonovskaya, 24) is the house of the bishop's monastery. Object of cultural heritage No. 6300192000. [11]
