Nikolai Nikitovich Slyunkov ( Belorussian Mikalay Miktavich Slyunkнь ; born April 26, 1929 , Gorodets market, Rogachev district , Bobruisk district , BSSR ) is a Belarusian Soviet party leader.

Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1971). Hero of Socialist Labor (1974).
Biography
Born into a peasant family in the town of Gorodets (currently Gomel region ). Belarus . He graduated from the Minsk Automechanical College (1950) and the Belarusian Institute of Agricultural Mechanization (1954-1962).
In 1960-1965 - Director of the Minsk Tractor Spare Parts Plant (currently - Minsk Gear Plant).
In 1965-1972 - Director of the Minsk Tractor Plant , General Director of the Minsk Production Tractor Construction Association.
In 1972-1974 he was the first secretary of the Minsk city committee of the Communist Party of Belarus .
In 1974-1983 - Deputy Chairman of the USSR State Planning Commission .
In 1983-1987 - First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus.
During the leadership of the Slyunkov Republic, gross agricultural output increased by 30%, cost of production decreased by 18%, labor productivity grew by 34%. The increase in milk sales amounted to 1 million 368 thousand tons with an increase of 36%, livestock and poultry - by 506 thousand tons. The profitability of the agro-industrial complex rose from 3 to 36%. Salaries in rural areas increased 1.5 times, reaching 93% of the average salary in the country. All previously unprofitable farms began to work profitably. The number of summer plots reached 165 thousand. Queues in shops disappeared. According to the results of the All-Union Socialist Competition in 1983-1987. Belarus was recognized as the undisputed winner [1] .
In 1987-1990 - Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee , at the same time in 1987-1988. - Head of the Economic Department of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
In 1988-1990 - Chairman of the Commission of the Central Committee of the CPSU on socio-economic policy.
Since 1990 - a personal pensioner of national importance.
