Symmetrical swag
Svag - an element of textile decoration . Most often used as part of the curtain design . It is a specially gathered piece of fabric , one or two edges of which sag freely.
Types of Swagas
The following elements of the swag are distinguished: left and right wings, upper sag, lower sag.
There are the following types of Svagov:
- Symmetric Swag - wings of the same size, have a horizontal orientation and the same height.
- Asymmetrical Swag - wings of unequal sizes or are at different levels.
- Swag with a vertical wing - one of the wings is oriented vertically.
- Cross over (open swag) - the value of the upper sag is not equal to zero.
Svagi come with lining and without. The bottom edge is treated with seams of different types. The top edge is laid in the folds with a curtain tape or manually, securing the seam . Often the upper edge of the swag is enclosed in a special fabric belt. Often, swags are combined with other elements of curtain design , such as jabobs and ties.
