Biography
Born July 8, 1988 in the city of Alagir , in North Ossetia .
Sikon can be translated as "young phoenix ." The first character was received from the teacher Wakanohana Kanji (II) , the second - from Taiho , who took an active part in his fate and career. Trained in Otake Bay. Due to the limit on foreign fighters, with the help of Taiho, he moved to Magaki Bay . He professed, for the most part, a power offensive style, but he did not refuse defensive tricks. Quickly progressed. Reached makuuchi at 19, he had brilliant prospects (since 1958 - introducing six bashes a year - he became only the twentieth fighter of the top division under the age of 20; of these twenty 17 reached the level of sanyaku , and seven became yokozuni ).
The highest achievement is maegashira -1. Above him, only Rojo and Aran rose from sumo wrestlers of Russian origin, while being significantly older and more experienced.
Marijuana Incident
On August 18, 2008, Wakanoho was arrested by Japanese police on suspicion of possession of marijuana . This is the first near-narcotic scandal in the history of sumo. A cigarette stuffed with Indian hemp (most likely a cigarette case was used) was discovered by the police on June 24 in a purse (or purse) lost by a fighter, which was found on the street and handed to the police by bona fide passers-by. In the same wallet there were documents that allowed to identify the person. Wakanoho admitted that all the items he found were his, and said that he received the ill-fated cigarette from an accidental man in the Roppongi district of Tokyo. During a search of the wrestler’s home, additional evidence was found in favor of the prosecution.
On August 21, an urgent sumo council of the Sumo Association decided on a lifelong disqualification of a fighter. Oyakata Magaki was removed from the board of directors of the Association for shortcomings in educational work. The wrestler himself was not prosecuted, since at the time of the violation he was a minor (under Japanese law, under the age of 20), and the amount of marijuana found was less than half a gram. Thus, the wrestler was disqualified, but he was neither threatened by the court, nor the prison term, nor the expulsion from the country by court.
The wrestler’s attempt to get back through the court was unsuccessful: in December 2008, the Tokyo court of second instance rejected the appeal of Soslan Gagloev, thereby confirming the decision of the district court on the legality of dismissal.
The incident had serious consequences, a number of other persons were involved in it, in particular, Kitanoumi , Rojo , Hakurodzan , several lawsuits were initiated, which as of June 2010 did not end.
