Volendam ( Dutch: Football Club Volendam ) is a football club from the village of Volendam , the Netherlands . It was founded on June 1, 1920 under the name "Victoria", the current name of the team was received in 1923 .

Content
History
The club was founded on June 1, 1920 under the name Victoria. At that time, the team performed in red and black striped shirts and black shorts [1] . In 1923, the team was renamed “Volendam”, the club also changed the color of the form, to orange [1] . Due to the fact that the club was located in the Catholic village of Volendam , the team pretty soon joined the Catholic Football Association of the Netherlands [1] .
In 1935 and 1938, Volendam won the championship of the Catholic Football Association of the Netherlands [1] . During the Second World War, the club was forced to join the Royal Football Federation of the Netherlands [1] . In 1955, Volendam joined the Netherlands Top Division , which received the status of a professional league [1] .
The team immediately earned the reputation of the club , which either leaves the top division, then returns again, and so on the pull of the entire history of the club. Over the years, the club is famous for its excellent pupils; Volendam “raised” such players as Wima Jonka , Edwin Zutebir , as well as the Arnold and Gerry Muren brothers. Volendam has an excellent training program for young players.
