Noviki is a village in the Elninsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . As of 2007, there is no permanent population [1] It is located in the south-eastern part of the region, 31 km east of the city of Yelnya , 2 km north-west of the border with the Kaluga region . At 7.5 km south of the village, the 475th km railway station on the Smolensk - Sukhinichi line . It is part of the Mazovskoye rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was the site of fierce fighting and was twice occupied by Nazi troops. The first time in July 1941 (released during the Yelninsk operation ), the second time in October 1941 (released during the Yelninsk-Dorogobuzh operation in 1943 ). It was liberated by the 68th Army [2] [3] , [4] .
