Isagogics ( other Greek: εἰσαγωγή - introduction, introduction) is a section of biblical studies, the subject of which is the historical sources of religious texts in the author's, cultural, chronological and other aspects. This also includes biblical criticism [1] .
Content
History
Until the middle of the XVI century. exclusively theological analysis of the Bible dominated, highlighting only apocrypha by the nature of the sources. Modern biblical scholars prefer to single out textology as a separate line of work, while the rest of the isagogy is called " biblical theology ."
