Biography

Born in Ukraine, he spent his childhood in Leningrad, where during the war he worked as an orderly at the front hospital No. 926, then No. 2010, and in 1943 he was drafted into the army. In the same year he graduated from the Military School of Communications in Ordzhonikidze , from 1944 the commander of the radar platoon of a separate communications battalion of the Leningrad Front .

Subsequently, he lived in Moscow . In 1949 he graduated from the acting department of GITIS. In 1949-1957 he worked at the Theater named after Vl. Mayakovsky. Winner of All-Union and All-Russian song competitions.
