Content
History
From 1993 to 2003, the publishing team, while working at VTsIOM, created and published the journal Public Opinion Monitoring . [1] In 2003, after the forced transfer of the VTsIOM research team to the Levada Center, and after the Federal Antimonopoly Service banned the team from using the previous name of the journal, the Public Opinion Bulletin was created. That is why the magazine has been numbering since 1993. [2]
The journal is registered by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the affairs of the press, TV and radio broadcasting and mass media PI No. 77981 dated December 10, 2003. In 2003, 2 issues were published, in 2004-2008 the magazine was published 6 times a year. Since 2009, the magazine is published 4 times a year.
Description
A part of the journal is devoted to the results of the monitoring of socio-economic changes, the program of which was developed by the team under the leadership of academician Tatyana Zaslavskaya in 1992-1993. Within the framework of monitoring, the population’s assessments of the country's economic situation (since 1993 ), attitude to economic reforms (since 1994 ), protest potential (since 1993 ), indicators of optimism (since 1994 ), trust in political leaders (since 2000 ), etc. are monitored.
The other part contains scientific articles on the main aspects of the life of Russian society. The journal constantly published articles by Yuri Levada , united by a common idea about the "Soviet man" (Homo Soveticus, the main research project of the former VTsIOM and the current Levada Center , which continues today. In 2008 , the fifth wave of research was conducted with the support of the Liberal mission " ). There are constantly articles by Lev Gudkov , Boris Dubin , Leonid Sedov , Alexey Levinson , Marina Krasilnikov and other employees of the center. Russian sociologists, political scientists, researchers are published: Boris Grushin , Leonid Gordon , Igor Kon , Leonid Keselman , Tatiana Vorozheikina , Emil Pain , Sergey Pashin , Nikolai Petrov , Georgy Satarov , Valeria Stelmakh, and others. The works of foreign specialists - researchers from Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries.
