Content
Club career
Over the course of his career, he has played for Real Madrid. On October 30, 2008, Ruben suffered a heart attack and lost consciousness in the Spanish Cup match with the Real Union club, since then he has not appeared on the field. Real Madrid decided not to include in the application for the 2009/10 season, its number 18 was given to Raul Albiol , but with the condition that de la Redu's number be returned if he would be able to continue his football career.
In the 2009/2010 season, de la Redu had to undergo regular medical examinations every two months. In April 2010, de la Redu installed a cardiomonitoring device that records the rhythm of the heart [1] . In mid-July, de la Red resumed training [2] . In autumn, de la Redu was offered a position in the apparatus of Real Madrid [3] . On November 3, 2010, de la Red decided to stop his career [4] and transferred to work for the Royal Club children's and youth team [5] [6] .

Ruben de la Red won the European Championship in 2004 for the U-19 team, and in 2008 won the main European Championship.

Coaching career
In 2012, Ruben de la Red became the head coach of Cadet B, the children's team of Real Madrid, and in the first season he won the Spanish championship in the corresponding age category [7] . One of de la Reda’s pupils was goalkeeper Luke Zidane , son of Zinedine Zidane , who was included in the French team for the 2015 U-17 World Cup [8] .
