Biography
John Ellis began his musical career at the Bazooka Joe pub-rock band , along with vocalist Stuart Goddard, better known as Adam Ant (the band Adam and the Ants ). In the mid-1970s, Ellis joined the punk band The Vibrators , with whom he recorded two successful albums.
After a break related to the development of his solo career, during which he recorded with Peter Hammil and Peter Gabriel , he toured with Jean-Jacques Burnel ( Euroman Cometh Tour [1] ) John Ellis returned to the group and recorded three more albums with her ( Guilty , Alaska 127 and Fifth Amendment ), after which he left Vibrators for good, however, retaining contact with them (he can be seen in the list of session musicians on some albums of the group).
Since 1990, Ellis has been the guitarist for The Stranglers , a band he left in March 2000. [one]
