Biography

Father - Konstantin Ippolitovich Karateev , a master of Tatar blood, at that moment a novice theater entrepreneur .

Mother - Pavel Leontyevna Wolf , a famous provincial actress.

Konstantin Ippolitovich was not registered with Pavel Leontyevna Wolf when on December 31, 1906 their daughter Irina was born in Moscow . Konstantin Karateev passed away early. And in the mother’s documents there remained a stranger, actually a long time ago divorced man from her - Sergei Anisimov. So Irina Wulf lived her whole life not by Irina Konstantinovna Karateeva, but Irina Sergeevna Anisimova-Wulf. [one]

She was closely acquainted and worked with Faina Ranevskaya , Yuri Zavadsky , Lyubov Orlova , Rostislav Plyatt , Gennady Bortnikov .

Member of the CPSU since 1956 [2] .

She was buried at the Don cemetery with her mother.

She played in the performances of Stanislavsky and Zavadsky .

She staged plays by Shakespeare , Williams , Rozov , Sartre , Stein .

Director
