History
Shipyard "Ocean" was founded in 1951 . [one]
In 1955, a production line with a side-release device (slip) was commissioned. [one]
From 1952 to 1972 more than 200 units of shipbuilding products were produced, among them: 7 Irgiz sea dry - cargo ships , 46 Tavria-type refrigerated cargo ships , 2 Maloyaroslavets-type logging trucks, and Sibiryles-type timber carrying vessels, 450B (for the USSR Ministry of the Navy), 15 trawlers of the “Altai” type (for the Murmansk Trawl Fleet). [one]
In the 1970s, the plant underwent a large-scale reconstruction. In 1972, one of the largest dry docks in Europe was commissioned, the second technological line for the construction of large-tonnage vessels was involved. At the same time, the construction of a large series of trawlers for the Murmansk Trawl Fleet continued and the production of large-tonnage vessels began: a series of eight ore carriers of the Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya type, two of which were exported. [one]
In 1974, the lead ship of a series of 18 super trawlers of the new generation of the Horizon type (for the Murmansk Trawl Fleet) was launched. Since 1977, on the order of the Black Sea Shipping Company , the Okean plant has built four oil equipment carriers of the Boris Butoma type. [one]
In the 1980s , oil ore carriers, super trawlers, and marine floating semi-submersible installations for drilling oil wells were built at the same time. Since 1982, the Okean plant built 26 Khariton Greku type ore carriers for the Black Sea Shipping Company . For the Moscow Hydroacoustic Institute "Ocean" built research vessels for research of the World Ocean. The plant built new fish processing bases for the Far Eastern region and put into operation a technological line with a launching device through a floating gear-launch dock. [one]
- after the collapse of the USSR
In 1997, "Ocean" released a bulk carrier like " Panamax ". [one]
In the fall of 2000, a tender was held for the sale of 78% of the state-owned shares of the Shipbuilding Plant “Ocean” OJSC. The tender was won by the Dutch shipbuilding concern Damen Shipyards Group. In October 2000, between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Damen Shipyards Group, a contract was concluded for the sale and purchase of shares in Okean Shipbuilding Plant OJSC. The plant was renamed Damen Shipyards Ocean OJSC. In 2001, as a result of the additional issue of shares of the Ocean, as well as the repurchase of shares from portfolio investors, about 98.7% of the shares were transferred to the ownership of the main shareholder. [one]
From October 2000 to August 2006, Damen Shipyards Ocean built 55 vessels for customers from Ukraine, Germany , England , Norway , the Netherlands. Among the ships released were container ships , bulk carriers , heavy cargo ships, chemical tankers, ice-class tugs, multi-purpose cargo ships. [one]
From August 2006 to July 2008, a controlling stake was owned by the Norwegian shipbuilding group Aker Yards ASA. During this period, the plant fulfilled 13 shipbuilding orders. [one]
In the fall of 2008, the company became part of the Norwegian company Vadan Yards Group AS. [one]
In April 2009, an agreement was signed between “Ocean” and the agricultural company “NIBULON” on the construction of 24 non-self-propelled dry - cargo two - bilge vessels of mixed type ( river-sea ). This helped the plant during the economic crisis : for a year and a half, he received two-shift loading and $ 36 million. However, in 2010, after the change of leadership, Ocean wanted to revise the agreement, which forced NIBULON to refuse further cooperation [3] .
March 18, 2011 by the decision of the shareholders of PJSC "Vadan Yards Ocean" was renamed to PJSC " Nikolaev Shipbuilding Plant" Ocean "." [one]
In May 2011, the lead ship of the series of multifunction pusher tugs for the NIBULON fleet was removed from the dry dock and the construction of 13 watercrafts ( motor ships, pontoons , dredgers , slurry lines) for the Russian company Tekhnogarant was completed. [1] Since the summer of 2011, Ocean received the Novoship contract for the repair of Aframax tanker hulls; NS Commander was the first to start repairs, it was completed at the end of July 2011 [4] ; after that, NS Century (completed on August 6) and NS Spirit were repaired at this shipyard. This chain of consecutive orders had an important impact on the shaky financial position of the shipbuilding enterprise [5] .
Over time, instead of new orders, high wages and investments in the modernization of production, the plant's staff has dropped from 10 thousand to 500 people, and the majority of shipbuilders left for Poland and Russia to earn money . [6]
The net loss of the plant in 2012 amounted to UAH 159.71 million, which is 44.3% more than in 2011. [7]
In December 2018, at the auction, the Ocean Plant was acquired for UAH 122 million 195 thousand hryvnias. The buyer of the plant is LLC TD "Annona". At the time of the sale, the property complex of OJSC NSO "Ocean" is in liquidation and has multimillion-dollar debts, both to creditors and to the workforce. The buyer was the company TD Annona. The new owner of the company was the director of TD TD Annona - Igor Voloshin from Nikolaev, who before the purchase was the chairman of the creditors' committee of the Okean plant. The new owner of the company is associated with another Nikolaev businessman Vasily Kapatsyna. [8] [9]
