History
Founded in 1945 as an oilmen settlement.
The status of the urban-type settlement - since 1947.
On January 7, 2002, due to severe frosts, an accident occurred on the Voivozh-Ukhta gas pipeline , which caused gas supply to the Voivozh and Sedyu villages to stop, causing problems with the electricity supply . It took more than a week to eliminate the consequences of the accident, while in Voyvorzhe it was necessary to drain the water from the heating main to prevent damage to industrial facilities [5] .
In 2006, after 8 years, the hockey team of veterans and the children's section under the leadership of Vadim Borisovich Urazbakhtin were formed again.
