Geography
The area is 4246 km².
History
The district was founded in 1924 . December 9, 1925 included in the Kansky District of the Siberian Territory . July 30, 1930 was transferred to the direct subordination of the East Siberian Territory . December 7, 1934 became part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory .
