Leslie Mark Hughes ( born Leslie Mark Hughes ; born November 1, 1963 , Wrexham , Wales ) is a Welsh footballer and coach . Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE, 2004).

Hughes gained the greatest fame as a player for the English club Manchester United , but during his career he had a chance to play for such famous clubs as Barcelona , Bayern , Chelsea , Southampton , Everton and Blackburn Rovers .

Football career

Manchester United

Mark was born in Roabon, Wrexham , in 1963. Hughes joined Manchester United after leaving school in the summer of 1980, where he was noticed by a scout club in North Wales, Hugh Roberts. Over the next three years, he played for the youth squad. In the main part of Manchester United, Mark made his debut in the Football League Cup match against Port Vale on October 26, 1983 [2] .
