Prilepy is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Elninsky district . The population is 13 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the south-eastern part of the region, 1 km north-east of Yelny , on the left bank of the Desna River . It is part of the Elninsky city settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was the site of fierce fighting. The first time the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 . [2] . Released during the Yelninsky operation . Re-occupied on October 5, 1941 . Finally released during the Yelninsky-Dorogobuzh operation on August 30, 1943 .
