Frunze Street (Samara)

• in the XVIII century the street bore the name: Nikolaev, Simbirsk
• since 1853 - Saratovskaya, was considered the outskirts of the street
• since 1915 - Chelysheva

The street got its present name on December 16, 1925 in honor of commander Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze ( 1885 - 1925 )

• Tram number 1, 3, 5, 15, 16, 20 routes and buses number 34, route taxis: 92, 207, 226, 240, etc. pass along Frunze Street.
• Cross the bus routes along Lev Tolstoy Street number 11, 37, 47.

• No. 146 is a five-storey residential building designed by Pyotr Shcherbachev. Dmitry Shostakovich lived in this house from 1941 to 1943 when he finished work on the Seventh Symphony . ^[3]

• At the intersection with Shostakovich Street there is the Chapaev Square , in the center of which a monument to Chapaev is erected. The area is relatively small - 2.9 ha. On this square, down the Frunze street, is the Samara State Academic Drama Theater named after Gorky , the building of which is considered a monument of architecture.
• Behind the building of the theater at the intersection with Vilonovskaya Street is a square named after AS Pushkin , where the bust of the poet is installed.

• No. 169 is a six-story residential building built at the end of the 20th century, called Fly. ^[7] Samara architect Leonid Kuderov designed the building in an unusual postmodern style for Samara.
