Ivashkovo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Gagarinsky district . The population is 321 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 3 km east of Gagarin , on the right bank of the Aleshni River. It is part of the Akatovsky rural settlement.

On October 26, 1914, a Hero of the Soviet Union was born in the village, commander of the 164th separate combat engineer battalion of the 52nd Rifle Division ( 3rd Ukrainian Front ) - Rumyantsev D.M. [2] .
