The athlete’s native language is Jamaican Creole [11] . He is a Catholic Christian by religion [12] .

The future athlete was born in the small village of Sherwood Content , in the Trelawney region of northern Jamaica, into the family of Jennifer Bolt and the father of Wellesley Bolt, the owner of a grocery store. Usain also has Sadika’s younger brother and older sister Sherin from Wellesley Bolt’s first marriage. [13] As a child, he was a very active child. His favorite game was cricket , which he played near the house, using an orange instead of a ball [14] . Parents sent the future athlete to Valdencia primary school. Career start

For the first time at an international competition, a beginner sprinter performed in 2001, it was the 30th CARIFTA regional game in Bridgetown , in which only juniors participate. Early Professional Career

In early August, Bolt announced that he will perform at the Olympic Games in Beijing at distances of 100 and 200 meters. He performed on the 4 × 100 meter relay for the Racers Lions Track Club team, which also included Mario Forsyth , Michael Freiter and Warren Weir . In the final race he was handed the baton with a gap of about five meters from the team at Kingston University of Technology. 2016—2017

On January 25, 2017, the IOC deprived the Jamaican team, including Bolt, of the Beijing Olympics gold medals for winning the men's 4 × 100 meter relay, after it turned out that a re-analysis of Nest Carter's samples revealed traces of the banned methylhexanamine drug. [5] [118]

On February 2, 2017, it became known that Usain Bolt was going to end his sports career after the 2017 World Cup [119] . On August 5, 2017, with a score of 9.95, he finished third in the 100 meter race at the 16th World Athletics Championships in London [120] .On August 12, 2017, Bolt was injured while passing the last stage of the 4 × 100 m relay [121] . Usain's teammate Johan Blake stated that the cause of the injury may be too long to wait before running in the athletes room [122] . Two days later, Usain Bolt finally confirmed his decision to end his professional career [123] .

После успешного выступления Болта на Олимпийских играх 2008 года некоторые специалисты начали его изучать. По мнению американского тренера и специалиста в спринте Лорена Сигроува немаловажную роль в феномене Усэйна Болта является его генетика . Personal life
