Biography
He studied at the philosophical and theological faculties of the University of Vienna .
He was ordained as a Catholic priest before the outbreak of the First World War. Student mobilized to the front. During the fighting the Austro-Hungarian army in the Carpathians was promoted to chaplain . He was wounded in 1916 was captured.
