Pyotr Nikolayevich Osipov (January 27, 1900, Kutemer, Cheboksary district, Kazan province - March 8, 1987) - Chuvash writer, prose writer and playwright , director, doctor. One of the founders of the Chuvash professional drama theater [1] . Since 1934, a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR . Candidate of Medical Sciences.

Biography
He came to literary creativity while studying in Kazan . Here he studied at the gymnasium and music school. In 1918 he entered the medical faculty of Kazan University; interrupted his studies - went to the civil war. At the front, he publishes a newspaper in the Chuvash Chukhansen Sassi (Voice of the Poor). He is invited to the theater to work. In 1920, restored at the university.
Having received a doctor’s diploma, he begins practice in Cheboksary . Without interruption from medical practice in 1927 - 1930 Pyotr Nikolaevich - director of the Cheboksary Drama Theater , 1931 - 1934 . teaches at the music school.
He worked as Minister of Health of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Works
The author of more than 40 medical scientific papers.
Created more than 20 plays, librett for operas and musical comedies.
