The snowman , or the snowman , or the snowy tree [3] , or the wild berry ( lat. Symphoricárpos ) is a genus of deciduous shrubs , the family Honeysuckle ( Caprifoliaceae ).

Biological description
Deciduous shrubs in height of 0,2 - 3 m.
Kidney with two pairs of outer scales. The leaves are opposite, simple, short-petiolate, entire, sometimes serrated-toothed shoots, serrated, without stipules.
The flowers are correct, in the axillary or terminal racemes , located in the axils of the upper leaves .
The fruit is spherical or ellipsoidal juicy drupe , white, red or black, with one to three oval, more or less compressed pits.
Dissemination and ecology
Distributed in North America, one species grows in China.

Meaning and Usage
Good honey plants.
In ornamental gardening, the snowberry is white , or brushy ( Symphoricarpos albus ). To the soil and moisture undemanding, shade-tolerant and gas-resistant. Flowering plant throughout the summer. The shrub is especially decorative in autumn due to white fruits with a diameter of about 1 cm. Fruits of snowfields are inedible (fruits cause vomiting, dizziness, weakness) [6] .
Often found in the decorative garden elements design green areas of Moscow and other cities of Russia.
