Victor Anatolyevich Sergeyev ( April 3, 1938 , Leningrad , RSFSR , USSR - November 19, 2006 , Moscow , Russia ) - Soviet and Russian film director , producer , director of the Lenfilm film studio. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation ( 1997 ) [1] .

Biography

Victor Sergeev studied at the Faculty of Journalism of the Leningrad University ( 1957 - 1960 ). In 1972 he graduated from the directing department of the N.K. Krupskaya Leningrad Institute of Culture. From 1960 to 1964 he worked as an assistant director, assistant director at the Belarusfilm film studio.

Since 1964 - at the Lenfilm film studio as an assistant director, second director, director.

In 1997 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Since that time, he has been the director of the Lenfilm film studio.

In addition to staging films, he was the producer of some paintings - such as “ Moloch ” by Alexander Sokurov .

He starred in several films.

He died in a hospital in Moscow from leukemia [2] . He was buried on November 22, 2006 in a cemetery in the village of Komarovo near St. Petersburg .

Family

He was the stepfather of the famous actor Nikita Mikhailovsky [3] (he became the second husband of his mother Nikita Alevtina Ivanovna). After her death, he married a second time - to the costume designer of the Lenfilm film studio Irina Kaverzina [4] . She designed a number of his film works.
