Silikva (measure of weight)

Silikwa - a measure of weight in ancient Rome . It equals 1 ⁄ 1728 libra or 1 ⁄ 144 ounces , which is equivalent to 0.189 grams . Silicone symbol - 𐆕 (U + 10195).

It is noteworthy that the seeds of the carob tree ( lat. Ceratonia siliqua ) were used as weights equal to 1 silica.

In the future, the silicium was called carat (cf. with the generic name of the Latin name of the carob tree Ceratonia ).
