Content
Career
Catherine from a sports family. Her mother was a member of the USSR national athletics team , her father was involved in skiing, and her sister was an acrobatic rock and roll [4] .
Katya started figure skating at the age of four. In a couple with Dmitry, they rose in 2000 . Until 2012, they trained with Elena Kustarova and Svetlana Alekseeva .
In the championship of Russia in 2008, they won the bronze medal. Due to the fact that the first Russian couple Oksana Domnina / Maxim Shabalin could not participate in the World Championship due to injury partner, Bobrova and Solovyov took part in the world championship, where they became the 13th.
At the next national championship, they became only the fourth, and thus did not make it to the major international starts. In February 2009, they took part in the Universiade , where they took the 5th place.
At the 2010 Russian Championships, they were ahead of the much more experienced Ekaterina Rublevu and Ivan Shefer , took 2nd place and entered the national team at the European Championship , where they became the 9th, and the Olympic Games , where they took the 15th place.
In April 2012, we went to train to Alexander Zhulin and Oleg Volkov.
In the 2012–2013 season, they were second to Skate America . Then they became second at the Cup of China . Two second places allowed them to reach the Grand Prix Final . In the final were fifth. Then unconditionally won the Russian Championship. We went to the first pair at the European Championship and World Championship.
At the European Championships were the first after a short program. In the free skate, they were second with 99.83 points. But they managed to keep the first place. The gap from the closest competitors Ilinykh / Katsalapov was 0.11 points.
At the World Championships, they were third after a short dance, lagging behind only world leaders: Davis / White and Virtue / Moir . In the free dance, they became fourth, losing several hundredths to Anna Kappellini / Luca Lanotte . However, they managed to win a bronze medal.
The new season of 2013—2014 started at the Cup of China where they were second. At the Cup of Russia won the gold medal and got to the Grand Prix Final . In the final they stopped one step from the pedestal.

In March 2016, it became known that the WADA drug meldonium was detected in the doping test Bobrova taken after the European Championship [5] . In April, the ISU canceled the temporary disqualification of Bobrova due to the low concentration of the drug in the doping test and the long duration of its elimination from the body. The pair continued training in the next season.
A new pre-Olympic season the Russian couple started in Bratislava at the Nepela Memorial . Athletes after the short dance were second, but in the free dance they managed to move to the leaders. At the same time, all previous sporting achievements of figure skaters were improved [6] . In mid-October, Russian dancers performed at the Grand Prix stage in Chicago , where they took third place at the America's Cup [7] . In early November, they performed at their second Grand Prix stage in Moscow , where they won first place at the Rostelecom Cup , while they surpassed all their previous achievements [8] . This allowed them to confidently reach the Grand Prix finals in Marseilles . In mid-November, skaters won first place in the Warsaw Cup [9] . In France, in early December, they took fourth place in the Grand Prix finals [10] . At the end of December, at the national championship in Chelyabinsk , figure skaters for the next (sixth) time became champions of the country [11] . At the end of January, Russian athletes competed in Ostrava at the European Championships , where they took third place; despite the fact that after the short program they were among the leaders [12] . At the end of March, Russian figure skaters performed at the world championship in Helsinki , where they managed to enter the top five leading dance couples in the world [13] . Three weeks later, at the final tournament of the season for the World Team Championship, the Russian athletes did not perform very well, finishing in third place in each type of program. The Russian team won silver medals [14] [15] .
Third Olympic Season
The new Olympic season Russian figure skaters began in Bratislava , where they performed at the Ondrei Nepela Memorial tournament, they won it [16] . Three weeks later, they performed in the Grand Prix series at the home stage , where they managed to finish in second place [17] . At the same time, the achievements in the short dance were improved. In early November, the pair performed at the Chinese stage in the Grand Prix series, where they finished with bronze medals [18] . In early December, there was a performance on the Golden Skate of Zagreb , which the pair completed with winners, improving their previous achievements in the free dance and the amount. At the national championship in mid-December in St. Petersburg, they once again became champions [19] . At the home European Championship 2018 in Moscow, the pair won silver medals. In early February, before the opening of the Olympic Games in South Korea, the pair began to compete in a team tournament . They finished third in a short program in Gangneung . In the free program, the pair also finished third. The Russian athletes team eventually finished with silver medals. At the Olympic Games in Korea, Catherine won the silver medal in team competitions as part of the team of Olympic athletes from Russia . In mid-February, in the Gangneune, in the personal tournament of the Olympic Games, Russian figure skaters finished fifth. They also managed to improve their previous achievements in total.

On February 28, the BMW X6 cars were presented to all Olympic champions of the 2018 Olympics in Pyongyang on behalf of the state, and the BMW X5 and BMW X4 cars were presented to the winners of the games. Catherine Bobrova is going to sell the car and put some of the money into charity [26] .
